Beltangady; The incident took place on Wednesday around 11.30 pm when the miscreants set fire to the grass on the roadside in Paramale, Devgiri, Neriya village.
Here about ten acres of land is covered with boulders and grass has grown extensively. Here some miscreants have set fire to the dry grass on the side of the road.
There are several houses and gardens near it. Seeing the fire, the locals immediately got into action and all worked together to put out the fire. No one managed to stop the fire before it spread to the plantations. The miscreants started the fire at night and if the locals did not notice, there was a risk of a huge disaster.
A few days ago, a fire accident occurred in the same area and caused heavy losses.
Now it is clear that the miscreants have started the fire and people are demanding to identify such anti-social persons and take necessary action.
