Punjalakatta Charmadi Road Development : Widening work started

Punjalakatte : The second phase development work of Mangalore- Villupuram National Highway is already in progress and widening of the road is currently underway. 700 crores rather than Rs A 33.1 km road from Punjalakate to Charmadi will be developed in this project with additional funding. As a part of this, a lot of surveys have been conducted and the trees and buildings to be cleared during road widening have been identified and the outline of bridge construction has been prepared at the necessary places.

 

Demarcation of the road extent and clearance of the undergrowth of the road passing through the government land has been completed.The contractor has been approved and now the road widening work is going on in Setu area of ​​Mundaje village. From the central mark of the main road, one side of the road is being widened in an area of ​​more than 7 meters. Work is progressing rapidly in the treeless area on one side of this road.

Due to the road work going on, the drivers and pedestrians of this part of the national highway are facing dusty conditions. Due to the dust that rises more than usual, the environment is dusty and the vehicles traveling in front of it are not visible. The traffic on this road is also heavy due to the holidays and elections. Due to the lack of rain, the amount of dust is increasing day by day.
