Belthangadi: Last four and a half years ago, 10 crores grant was sanctioned for 33 works under special grant to Nagar Panchayat, of which 5.35 crores of grant work is pending and it was decided in several monthly meetings that it is not possible to carry out the work, this shows the failure of the administration so that it is not possible to answer to the people and also the sanctioned grant, Engineer Mahaveer Ariga. He has transferred to another work without bringing it to Sabey’s attention. This shows his attitude of accountability. The member condemned that this cannot be tolerated. The incident of sabbath sacrifice by members of the opposition party in the meeting took place in the town panchayat meeting on Monday.

Belthangadi Town Panchayat General Meeting was held at Pattana Panchayat Hall on Monday under the chairmanship of Pattana Panchayat Adyak Rajani Kudwara. The Kelkagere link road near Kerelekodi is in danger without a barrier and many rickshaw pullers have appealed to make a huge barrier. Out of the Rs 40 lakh Anuda allocated for this purpose, Rs 20 lakh has been transferred to Kallagudde Tree Park Road. Member Jagdish and Rajshri Raman accused that how it was transferred without bringing it to Sabe’s attention. Who gave the authority to the engineer? To this, Vice President Jayanand Gowda replied that this is the work being done by KRDL. When the member Jagdish said that many heavy requests have been made to the District Collector regarding this, member Jagdish disagreed and asked whether it is not possible for a ruling party to control a contract firm or whether the government lacks funds for grants, this is the failure of the ruling party. How to go to the people? Till now we were silent giving advice and guidance for Abiruddi. Now accuse that the wards of the opposition party are being ignored. When the meeting comes up, the vice president should try to pacify. Let’s fix it. All the members should give a list of the works of their wards. He expressed disapproval that the grant should be set aside.

Vice President Jayananda Gowda, Standing Committee President Lokesh, Chief Rajesh were present in Sabe.
