Belthangadi: Former MLA K. who was brought out on behalf of Jai Publishing House Belthangadi. The book ‘Vasanta Vinyasa’, a portrait of Vasant Bangera, will be released on December 17 by former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah Belthangadi in the premises of Sri Gurudev Pre-Graduate College,’ said Devi Prasad, Chief Convener of the Vasant Vinyasa Book Unavarana Swagat Samiti.
Speaking at a press conference at Sri Gurunarayan Sabha Bhavan in Belthangadi on Wednesday, he said that former Minister Y.S.V. Dutta will do the introduction of the book. Bantwala Rani Abbakka Tulu Study Center President Dr. Tukaram Pujari will participate. Honorary Secretary of Zilla Kannada Sahitya Parishad Rajeshwari Chetan Shubhashamsane and author Aravinda Chokkadi will speak in introduction.
‘Siddaramaiah is expected to come to Belthangadi around 11.30 in the morning. This is a work of literature and it is the first book about Bangera’s life. Siddaramaiah is a close friend of Bangera. Siddaramaiah is coming to Belthangadi for the book launch on the grounds that this is an important event. About two thousand literature lovers will participate in this program. Arrangements have been made for midday meal for those who have come in the premises of Gurudev College.
The book release was an important event of Siddaramaiah’s visit to Belthangadi. This is a literary event and not a political event. But on the same day, the fax, banner and invitations of the Kabaddi tournament held in Laila Prasanna College are saying that the book will be released there. This program has nothing to do with the program to be held at Prasanna College. “It is not in the interest of the Kabaddi organizers to disrupt a good program of book release and cause confusion among the people,” he said.
