Distribution of kits to various workers : Poonja

Belthangadi: There are many facilities in the labor department of the government, the information about which was not available to the workers of the taluk four years ago. For four years now, government assistance has been provided by organizing workers by organizing BMS.

About eight thousand workers have got the facility and 18 thousand workers have registered and all labor families should visit the BMS office whenever they have time to get information about the government facilities. MLA Harish Poonja said that my priority duty is to provide government facilities to the families from the lower end of the society.

He spoke on behalf of the Labor Department and Taluk Administration Belthangadi, Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board at the Budawara Guruwayanakere Kinyamma Yane Gunavati hall to the eligible registered construction workers, electrician, learning kit, nutrition kit and masons to build houses in Basava housing project. There was 1.20 lakh loan facility and an additional 2 lakh interest-free loan from other department has been tried to be sanctioned to 450 people of the taluk in the next fortnight. So far 3.89 crores assistance has been given to the taluk for marriage of workers, 16.60 lakh assistance for childbirth and 44 lakh assistance for last rites. He said that MS office will be opened and efforts will be made to provide government facilities to every laboring family in the rural areas. State Secretary of BMS unit Jayaraj said that it is a record in the state that the laboring families of the taluk have got facilities from the labor department and this is possible due to the efforts of MLA Harish Poonja. Kit has been given to curry. Today 1200 Mesti Kit, 450 Electrician Kit, 400 Kit for Children, 2500 Nutrient Kit for women workers are being installed. Vidana Parishad members have given student salary to working children at a cost of Rs. Labor Secretary Harish welcomed, Jayaraj spoke in introduction. BMS Taluk President Udaya Kumar thanked.
