Belthangadi:MLA Harish Poonja said that 50 bore wells will be installed in the taluk by the Cauvery Irrigation Development Corporation of the Major Irrigation Department for the benefit of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers. They are Barambu Devaki of Kaniyur village spoke at the house of Guruvappa Nayak to launch the project.
5 lakhs for the agricultural irrigation system of the beneficiary farmer in the scheme. Bore well, pump, electricity connection, pipe line, sprinklers will be installed in the cost. Beneficiary should have minimum one acre plot. He said that the tender process is in progress to facilitate this scheme to 80 beneficiaries in the next phase.
Belthangadi BJP mandal president Jayantha Kotyan said that the MLAs are working to deliver the government’s schemes to the beneficiaries. He said that the dream of the farming families of the taluk has come true through several irrigation projects.
