Belthangadi: The governments that have ruled for the past seventy years have not responded to the problems of the common people and have made their lives miserable. Karnataka State Farmers Association District President Aditya Narayan Rao Kollaje said that the government is going bankrupt by bringing many useless projects like Ettin Hola Yojana and wasting people’s tax money.

He spoke in a press conference on Wednesday and said that he has constructed a tree park near Kalagudde costing 1.5 crores and locked it without allowing it to be used by the people. Now the authorities have opened the gate after finding out the truth and bringing it to the attention of the concerned people in the Social Jalatana. They have done injustice to the families by not giving it to them. When the farmers’ association warned about this, they have now set the date for issuing the claim letter on May 23, he said. Also, in the last eight years, 37500 illegal traffic applications have been received in the taluk, out of which only 700 applications have been disposed of. He said that the farmers association will be with the people to get all this properly to the people and for this they will conduct a campaign in the taluk. Efforts will be made to inform the people about the foundation stone work of 400 crores which was not sanctioned by the government recently. People are being cheated by this, he said. He said that the people of the taluk have bought 300 acres of additional land around Madikeri and will keep it in front of the people with records. He said that the medical college in Puttur, the community hospital of the taluk will be upgraded, and medical facilities will be provided in the villages. He said that the association will work hard. District Secretary Surendra Koyla, Taluk President Avinash, Secretary Devappa Naik were present in the concert.
