Belthangady: Rajya Sabha member Dharmadhikari Dr Virendra Heggade met the Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Kishan Reddy in New Delhi and demanded that the state government should abandon Sammeda Shikharji, a famous Jain shrine in Jharkhand state, as a tourist hub. .
To this the minister replied that I had already made a statement in this regard in the Lok Sabha and as per his request immediately he wrote another letter to the Chief Minister of Jharkhand and said that he would demand to preserve the sanctity of Sammeda Shikharjee and to abandon it as a tourist destination.
