Inauguration of Haveri Kabburoo lake at Dharmasthala

Belthangadi: Dharmasthala deacon Dr. D. Virendra Heggade on behalf of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthal Gramabhivirdi Yojana, “Nammuru Namma Kere” and the Haveri Kaburu Lake which was revived under the Manrega program of the Central Government, handed over the bag to the people of the town and wished them good luck.

 

On this occasion, a joint inauguration ceremony of Pragatibandu/ Self Help Associations was organized
As per Heggade’s wish, 488 heritage lakes have been rehabilitated so far in order to increase groundwater supply to all living beings by Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Village Development Scheme. The lake was dedicated to the people of the town by offering a garden to the Kabbur lake
Reverend Dr. D. Virendra Heggade inaugurated the program and handed over the documents to the Self Help Groups Union in Kabburu village, then speaking said that Swa Sahay Sangha means helping ourselves, women can develop themselves all round through Self Help Groups. By saving 10 rupees every week in Haveri district till now Rs. He mentioned saving 68.11 crores. He said that the lakes in Uri should feel like Allah is our lake so that when all the people of Uri share the water of the lake equally, love and trust will increase.

Later, various equipments were distributed to the special souls and Heggade distributed the grants that had come to various temples.
Haveri MP Shivakumar Ch. Udasi, Bellary MLA Virupaksha, Akshay Sridhara Chief Executive Officers of Badagi Assembly Constituency, G.P. Haveri, Malavva Guddappa Karigara Adyaksaru Village Panchayat Kabbur, Basavaraja Nee. Sivannan’s former MLAs, Byadgi Assembly Constituency, Basavaraja Arabagonda President of Haveri Halu Okuta, Puttappa Sheikhappa Girigaudru Vice President of Gram Panchayat Kabbur, Karibasappa Dya. Hosalli Director Lake Development Committee, Kabbur, Dugge Gowda Regional Director Darwada Regional Division, Nagaraja Shetty Director Haveri District were present.
