Belthangadi: The idol of the god which was dissolved in the river last year has been found again and brought to the temple as per the order of diviners.In Perla of Ujire village, the idol of Sri Lakshmi Janarda, which was enshrined in the temple, was dissolved in Nidigal Netravati river last December and another idol was installed in Balalaya when the villagers asked Ashtamangala for the renovation of the ancient Sri Lakshmi Janardana temple.
Ashtamangala question was held in Perla on December 8th and 9th and 15th and 16th under the leadership of Sridhara Gore of Nelyadi.He said that the idol can be found in the environment that has been dissolved. Accordingly, when searched, the same idol was found near Nidigal Kindi Dam. In relation to this same temple, an ancient Shiv Linga was also found under the soil when digging in the environmental area of the temple he mentioned.
The idol found in Nidigal river has been taken to the temple.For the restoration of the temple, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Ravikumar, the vice president of Ujire Gram. During the Ashtamangala question, Sridhara Gore was assisted by Ganesh Aitala, Srinidhi Lakhinnaya Karinja, and Ananta Irvatraya of Mangalore Mangaladevi Temple.
After Ashtamangala, the next temple development work will be done as per question. On this occasion, the same Lakshmi Janardana idol and Shivlinga were found, so the proximity of the area has brought more power, the locals said.
